It may sound like a cliché, but the fact of the matter is there is no better time to buy a house than right now. Why? It is believed that it will be up to 1.5 years before the real estate market fully turns around. Until that time, buyers have the price advantage. Furthermore, the areas real estate inventory remains quite high, with foreclosures to expected to bottom out soon.
However, considering the housing market has been in a recession since, 2007, 1.5 years is not a very long time. Local statistics show that while overall home sales were sluggish this spring, New Pending Sales were and are well on the rise.
Another great reason for buying now or in the near future is the absence of new residential subdivisions. It is believed that the majority of Frederick County’s top 11 communities, which began selling 2008 and 2009 ñ will be sold out by this winter. New homes communities in Montgomery County and northern Virginia are selling out. It is believed that buyers will soon be looking north to Frederick County. Because of the economy, no new communities have been developed. Very quickly, the resale homes market will be in great demand.
